BERKELEY SPRING, W.V. - The Susquehanna University women's golf team turned in a pair of team records with their Saturday and Sunday scorecards at their season-opening Shenandoah Invitational. Both days the River Hawks were sixth on the leaderboard at the par-72 Capacon Resort State Park, with their 329 round one team score after Saturday marking a program record for lowest-ever round. It didn't stand for long as Susquehanna bested that by five strokes with a 324 outing for a 653 two-day total (+77). Marymount won the tournament by a 49-stroke difference at 316 (+28), with their own Kate Parsons winning the invididual title breaking even at 576, going three-under the first day and three-over Sunday.
Both Susquehanna's scores Saturday and Sunday beat the previous school record of 331 set last year during the team's home match versus Lock Haven on Sept. 22, 2024. Four of the River Hawks' competitors this weekend were on that squad last year that broke the record - Rohan, Cerminaro, Petrovich, and Westerfield.Â
