TOWSON, MD - The Landmark Conference announced Susquehanna junior guard
Annie Greek as its Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week following a career day Saturday against RV Elizabethtown College, as well as her production in a midweek game against Goucher. This is the first Landmark weekly honor of Greek's career, while becoming the second River Hawk to earn the league's women's baskedtball weekly accord following
Julia Roth earning it twice this winter.
Annie Greek's monumental week started with a 16 point performance at Goucher College for the midweek game. Greek shot 5-14 from the field, including two three pointers in the Conference win. She continued her dominance at the charity stripe, shooting a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line. Greek continued to light up the scoreboard during the weekend match up against Elizabethtown College. Greek scored a career high 21 points in the pivotal Landmark Conference win. The junior student-athlete shot an astounding 5-7 from the field, including opening the game with two straight three point shots to take the early lead from the Blue Jays. Greek finished the afternoon shooting a dazzling 4-for-5 from beyond the arc, while also scoring seven points from the free throw line.
Susquehanna continues to put the Landmark Conference on notice, currently tied for third place with a 7-3 conference record and 14-3 overall. The River Hawks still have a ways to go as they prepare for two road games this week, beginning Wednesday at Juniata, followed by a trip to Moravian Saturday.
