SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna Women's Basketball garnered special mention to the 2025-26 WBCA Academic Team Honors as part of the association's rollout of the Academic Top 25. The River Hawks received special mention by posting a 3.66 team GPA for the year. 

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

Five of Susquehanna's juniors and seniors finished the 2025-26 year carrying over a 3.60 cumulative GPA, including Julia Pinckert, Julia Roth, Annie Greek, Sydney Weyant and Tatum Laughard. Seniors Pinckert and Roth were both named to the All-Landmark Team and CSC Academic All-District® Team, with Roth also picking up D3hoops.com All-Region and a roster spot in the WBCA Division III All-Star Game. Juniors Greek and Weyant were also CSC Academic All-District® Team recipients. Roth, Greek, and senior Carly George were named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week during the season, with George also earning All-Landmark with Pinckert and Roth. 

The River Hawks made history in 2025-26 with their first 20-win season in over 30 years with a 21-5 record, their most wins since 1991-92. They finished a perfect 7-0 in non-conference matchups, including winning their Tipoff Tournament at the expense of Mary Washington and Gettysburg, and going a perfect 2-for-2 in Puerto Rico over winter break, defeating Union and Montclair State at the Puerto Rico Clasico. They earned the number-two seed in the Landmark Tournament, posting noteworthy conference wins over Elizabethtown and Catholic, along with receiving votes in both the WBCA and D3hoops.com national rankings.
