SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University football tight end Noah Confer has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week following a standout two-touchdown performance in the River Hawks' 45-21 Landmark Conference victory at Catholic University on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Confer was a key target in Susquehanna's passing attack, hauling in five receptions for 76 yards and two touchdowns in the conference-opening victory. He made an immediate impact in the second quarter, connecting with quarterback Tommy Wright for a 52-yard touchdown reception just 40 seconds into the period to extend the River Hawks' lead to 28-0.

After Catholic scored twice in the third quarter to cut Susquehanna's advantage to 35-21, Confer and Wright connected again with just five seconds remaining in the period. Confer hauled in a two-yard touchdown pass to cap a 10-play, 72-yard drive and restore the River Hawks' three-touchdown cushion at 42-21.

Confer's two-touchdown effort helped Susquehanna finish with 443 yards of total offense, including 270 passing yards. Wright completed 21 of 30 passes and threw three touchdown passes as the River Hawks scored 35 points in the first half en route to the 24-point victory.

The win marked Susquehanna's first Landmark Conference victory of the season and extended the program's Landmark winning streak to 19 consecutive games dating back to 2023. Their combined conference win streak is 29 games dating back to 2021 and their time in the Centennial Conference.

Confer's selection adds to a growing list of individual accolades for the River Hawks following their dominant conference-opening performance.

Susquehanna returns to action Saturday, Oct. 17, hosting Moravian University at noon at Doug Arthur Stadium.
