Carly George has claimed the final Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week of the regular season. George earned her first career Landmark weekly honor after leading the River Hawks to two pivotal wins against Goucher College and Drew University to help SU claim their best season since 1991-92 and their first-ever two seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament.
Carly started her week with a clinic against Goucher College. Against the Gopher, George notched her fourth double-double of the season. George netted 11 points, shooting 5-7 from the field, while also pulling down 12 rebounds. She continued to dominate under the basket against Drew, scoring 20 points. George shot a staggering 10-17 from the field, while pulling down seven rebounds. George wraps up her regular season career with 733 points and 637 rebounds, currently sitting in ninth all-time in women's basketball history.
George and the River Hawks enjoy a first-round bye in the Landmark Conference Tournament as they await their opponent in Thursday's semifinals game at 7 p.m. against the winner of the opening round game Tuesday between Elizabethtown and Drew.
