SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna starting pitcher
Josh Domaracki's seven innings of shutout brilliance against Catholic on Sunday earned him the Landmark Conference's Pitcher of the Week for baseball.
The River Hawks swept the Cardinals in a three-game series this weekend. Domaracki pitched the second game of this series Sunday as Susquehanna won 4-1. Through seven frames he struck out seven batters, while allowing just three hits and one walk and surrendering zero runs against 25 batters faced. Relievers
Dominic Giglio and
Austin Ozarowski came on in the eighth and ninth, respectively, to close out the victory as a pair of home runs by
Paul Daly and
Dylan Heyduk, along with an RBI double by
Michael Gagliardi proved to be just enough offense. Domaracki is now 2-0 on the season with a team-high 29 strikeouts.Â
Domaracki and the River Hawks take their three-game win streak on the road this week for four Landmark games. It all starts Tuesday at Juniata for the second game of their series with the Eagles, followed by a weekend series at Moravian, beginning with one game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday.Â
