SELINSGROVE, PA - After an impressive season that ended in the Landmark Semifinals at Scranton, Susquehanna University men's lacrosse garnered four River Hawks to the All-Landmark Conference team, as voted on by the coaches. This included three Second Team selections in
Gabe Broome,
Matt Chubenko and
Brandon Cash, along with one Honorable Mention in
Marc Manfredonia.
Faced with replacing all six of their All-Landmark selections from 2025 due to graduation, Susquehanna turned to their talented returners, while infusing their crop of promising newcomers. After a shaky 2-5 start the turning point came during their non-conference matchup against Saint Vincent. Trailing 10-7, the River Hawks rallied to tie the game at 11 to force overtime, leading to
Pat McDermott to score the game-winning goal for a 12-11 victory. This carried over into Landmark season where Susquehanna finished 5-4 in league play to clinch the fifth seed for the tournament. For the second straight year they reached the Landmark Semifinals thanks to winning on the road in the opening round, this year defeating Moravian 13-12 to face Scranton in the semifinals.
