One Goal Decides Men's Soccer vs. Misericordia in Season Opener

DALLAS, PA - Susquehanna men's soccer opened its 2026 season Tuesday evening, falling 1-0 to Misericordia at Mangelsdorf Field.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
  • The Cougars applied pressure early, putting nine shots on goal in the opening half while the River Hawks managed one shot.
  • Susquehanna goalkeeper Finn Kramer kept the River Hawks within striking distance, making two saves in the opening 45 minutes.
  • Misericordia broke through in the 23rd minute when Noah Romig converted off an assist from Reese Dieffenderfer to give the Cougars a 1-0 advantage.
  • Misericordia had an opportunity to double its lead earlier in the half, but Romig's penalty kick in the 16th minute was missed.
  • Susquehanna came out with increased offensive pressure in the second half, registering nine shots and five corner kicks.
