SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna men's soccer dropped a 5-1 decision to York College of Pennsylvania Friday evening at Sassafras Field. The Spartans used two first-half goals and three more after halftime to pull away, while the River Hawks got on the board late with a goal from
Luke Edwin.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
- York wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, with Aiden Hall finding the back of the net in the eighth minute off an assist from Elaiwe Ikpi.
- The Spartans doubled their advantage in the 28th minute when Gavin Huey scored to make it 2-0.
- York added a penalty-kick goal from Hall just 1:46 into the second half, extending the lead to 3-0.
- The Spartans added another goal in the 51st minute, as Jacob Fato scored off a Greg Proctor assist.
- Hall completed his hat trick in the 55th minute, pushing York's lead to 5-0.
- Susquehanna continued to battle through the final minutes and finally broke through with Luke Edwin scoring his first goal of the season with 22 seconds remaining. Parks Ordiway picked up the assist.
- The River Hawks were unable to mount a comeback, falling to 0-2 on the season.

- York held a 17-8 advantage in shots, including an 11-3 edge in shots on goal.
- The Spartans also controlled corner kicks, 10-2.
- Owen Smith led Susquehanna with three shots.
