Men Outpaced at Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Haverford College on Saturday afternoon. The River Hawks battled throughout the second half but were unable to overcome an early two-goal deficit.

How It Went Down
  • Haverford struck twice during the opening 18 minutes to take control early. Charles Sharp opened the scoring in the 12th minute off an assist from Josh Brown before Sho Nadata doubled the lead less than six minutes later, with Aiden Lee providing the assist.
  • Susquehanna's defense settled in after the early goals, limiting Haverford to seven shots in the second half. The River Hawks also held the Fords scoreless over the final 72 minutes of play.
  • Susquehanna created some opportunities in the second half, including a shot on goal from Owen Smith in the 67th minute that was saved by Haverford goalkeeper Grayson Benson. The River Hawks continued to push late, earning back-to-back corner kicks in the 88th minute, but Haverford's defense held firm.
