Women's Golf Sets New Record Totals to Place Third at Shenandoah

BERKELEY SPRING, W.V. - The Susquehanna University women's golf team opened the weekend by setting yet another program record, posting a team score of 311 (+23) in the opening round, the lowest in program history. Cailyn Schall led the way with a 71 (-1), helping the River Hawks take a three-stroke lead going into day two. Batten University sat in second at 314 (+26), while Marymount University followed closely behind at 316 (+28).

Day two featured a back-and-forth three-team battle between Susquehanna, Marymount, and Batten for the top spot. In the end, Batten captured the team title with a two-day score of 633 (+57), led by individual champion Juliette Coffey, who carded a 70 (-2). Marymount finished second at 635 (+59), while Susquehanna finished just four strokes off the lead in third place with a 637 (+61).

While the River Hawks didn't take home the win, there were plenty of positives to come out of the weekend, including individual bests and new program records. Susquehanna's two-day score of 637 (+61) set a new program record for the lowest 36-hole team score.

The River Hawks also finished ahead of Landmark Conference opponents Catholic University and Drew University in the competitive 11-team field. Catholic placed eighth with a 676 (+100), while Drew finished ninth at 687 (+111).
