Summary

Biography

PRIOR TO SU: Attended Susquenita High School where he ran cross country, track and field, and played baseball... earned 8 varsity letters in total... was a cross country team captain... earned Team MVP honors his senior year... earned All-County Second team honors as well.

PERSONAL: Chose SU "I chose Susquehanna because of the small size and opportunities that come along with that. There are not a ton of other schools in the area that would allow me to make graphics, write stories, and take pictures, while also managing small class sizes, and being able to compete in athletics."

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: What is your favorite SU athletics memory? " My favorite memory from my cross country and track career at Susquehanna has to be my first race back after knee surgery. Coming back from that injury was incredibly tough. After a year of physical therapy, relearning how to walk and run, learning to trust myself again, countless hours in the weight room and training room, it was finally time to step back onto the track.
The day I found out I was racing again was already emotional, but nothing could have prepared me for what happened next. Standing on the starting line was nerve-racking but I knew how hard I worked to get back. My entire team lined the track. Everywhere I looked a teammate was cheering me on. Once the race started everything became a blur and all I could hear was the overwhelming support from my coaches, teammates and everyone watching. As I rounded the final turn, I saw Coach McGuire who had been there for me through everything. My only goal was to get to him. When I crossed the finish line I collapsed into his arms and completely broke down. After the hardest year of my life, I was finally back to doing the sport that I love." ... What has playing athletics at SU meant to you? " Running has meant everything to me at SU. The sport I love has given me a lifelong family, in both my teammates and coaches. Memories that will last forever, both on and off the course. Looking back on it I would not trade it for anything." ... What are your post-graduate plans? "Post-grad, I plan to continue my work in baseball specifically. It is one of my favorite sports to watch and after spending the past two summers working for the Harrisburg Senators, I have truly fallen in love with working in sports. Wherever the wind takes me I will follow." ...  What has been your favorite class and professor? "My favorite class was my photography class taught by Gordon Wenzel. It was an extremely educational class that taught me a ton about photography. Not just sports but everything you can take pictures of. The class taught me a ton about technical knowledge, composition and execution." ... Nobody knows that "I am actually pretty good at painting."

2023: Made collegiate debut with a 36:48 at Lock Haven...set minute-and-a-half PR with 35:02 at Gettysburg.
