Caitlin Kelly won the 500-yard Freestyle and
Maggie Palaski won the 50-yard Butterfly as the Susquehanna University Women's Swimming and Diving team put together a solid showing in a 174-69 loss against Division ll Bloomsburg Saturday afternoon at the Garrett Sports Complex in Selinsgrove.
Tori Weems,
Olivia Fravel, Palaski, and
Katie Willis put together a time of 1:54.09 in the 200-yard medley relay in the opening event as they were just beat out by the Huskies.
Kelly also recorded a second place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 2:01.17 before Kate Welch and Abigail Condon came in the top five for the 50-yard backstroke.
Fravel backed up her solid showing in the 200-yard Medley relay with a great time of 32.37 in the 50-yard breast stroke before Palaski and
Sabrina Krotzer came in 2
nd and 4
th place respectively in the 100-yard Butterfly.
The meet was highlighted by Kelly and Palaski defeating the competition in their various races, with Kelly coming on top in the 500-yard Freestyle and Palaski winning the 50-yard Freestyle.
The River Hawks continue their season when the team takes on Drew and Marywood Saturday in Madison. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
