BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – First-year Haley Muth (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) notched four Top 3 finishes Saturday afternoon as the Susquehanna University women's swim team opened up the dual meet season at Division II Bloomsburg University. Susquehanna (0-1) dropped a 189-72 non-conference decision to Bloomsburg (1-2).

How It Happened

• Muth started her first collegiate meet with a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-qualifying time of 1:10.60. She then followed that up with a third-place finish in the 100 individual medley (1:03.31) and another second-place finish in the 50 breaststroke (32.46).
• Senior Megan Shaffer (Berwick, Pa./Central Columbia), Muth, sophomore Sabrina Krotzer (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), and junior Tori Weems (Cordova, Md./Easton) joined forces for a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:56.90.
• Senior Caitlin Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) captured the 500 freestyle in 5:40.50.
• Sophomore Paige Swartz (Pottstown, Pa./Hill), Krotzer, Kelly, and Weems earned a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.14.
• First-year Julia Adams (Palmyra, NJ/Palmyra) grabbed a second-place finish in the 50 backstroke in 29.59 as Adams made her collegiate debut.
• Sophomores Larissa Calvo (Bath, Pa./Northampton Area) and Victoria Morin (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) both notched a third-place finish in their respective heats of the 500 freestyle as Calvo posted a 5:50.54 and Morin touched the wall in 6:06.11.
• Weems collected a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle in 2:03.22 as well as a fifth-place finish in the 100 freestyle in 57.05.
• Senior Morgan O'Hara (Sugarloaf, Pa./Hazelton Area) put up a third-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 27.15 while Shaffer came in third in the 100 backstroke in 1:03.91.
• Krotzer rounded out the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 100 butterfly (1:03.60) and an eighth-place finish in the 50 butterfly in 28.94.
