SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's swim team overcame a 78-69 deficit Saturday afternoon to claim their first win of the 2019-20 season and the first in first-year head coach
Mike Tubb's career. Susquehanna (1-2, 1-0 LC) opened up Landmark Conference action with a come-from-behind 113-108 victory over the visiting Rangers of Drew University (2-3, 0-2 LC).

How It Happened
- The meet was back-and-forth all day as the lead changed hands six times.
- With four events remaining, Drew owned a 78-69 advantage after outscoring the River Hawks, 24-14 in the 200 butterfly and 100 freestyle events.
- Junior Abby Condon (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) captured the 200 backstroke in 2:14.62 followed by first-year Julia Adams (Palmyra, NJ/Palmyra) in second (2:17.22) to help Susquehanna retake the lead, 84-82, before the Rangers responded with a strong showing in the 500 freestyle to regain the upper hand, 94-91, with two events left.
- The River Hawks went 1-2-3 in the 200 breaststroke as first-year Haley Muth (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) won in 2:33.28 followed by sophomore Paige Swartz (Pottstown, Pa./Hill) in second (2:37.17) and sophomore Tara Caucino (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Boro) in third (2:42.55) to take the lead once again at 107-97 in the final event of the day – the 200 freestyle relay.
- Though Drew won the final event, SU took second and third to seal its first win of the season.
- The foursome of Adams, Muth, sophomore Sabrina Krotzer (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), and junior Tori Weems (Cordova, Md./Easton) worked together for a first-place win in the 200 medley relay in 1:54.80.
- Senior Kelly Weins (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) won 1-meter diving with a score of 208.65 while junior Alex Ferris (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) finished second with a score of 111.95.
- In the 1,000 freestyle, senior Caitlin Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) placed second in 11:17.30 followed by sophomore Larisa Calvo (Bath, Pa./Northampton Area) in third (11:40.70). Kelly also took second in the 500 freestyle in 5:28.55.
- Weems recorded a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (2:03.48) and the 100 freestyle (57.05). Senior captain Morgan O'Hara (Sugarloaf, Pa./Hazleton Area) came in third in the 100 freestyle in 58.33.
- Junior Olivia Fravel (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) was second in the 50 freestyle in 26.45, Muth finished second in the 200 individual medley in 2:16.36, and Krotzer took third in the 200 butterfly in 2:19.66.
- Krotzer, Fravel, Adams, and senior captain Megan Shaffer (Berwick, Pa./Central Columbia) came in second in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:44.86.
