River Hawk Women’s Swimming Notches Seven Top 3 Finishes at Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's swim team went on the road for their second dual meet of the season on Saturday afternoon. Susquehanna (0-2) lost 153-51 in non-conference action at Gettysburg College (3-0).

How It Happened

First-year Haley Muth (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) took the top spot in the 100 butterfly in 59:59 before going third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.40.
Senior Caitlin Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) placed second in the 500 freestyle in 5:32.19 while sophomore Larisa Calvo (Bath, Pa./Northampton Area) came in second in the 1,000 freestyle in 11:31.69 followed by Kelly in third in 11:34.19.
First-year Julia Adams (Palmyra, NJ/Palmyra), Muth, sophomore Sabrina Krotzer (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), and junior Tori Weems (Cordova, Md./Easton) came together for a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay in 1:54.91.
Senior Colleen Walsh (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) came in third in the 400 individual medley in 5:11.80.
The foursome of first-years Lizzie Axler (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) and Katie Mowery (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest), junior Larissa MacDougall (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern), and sophomore Shannon McGoey (New Windsor, Md./Linganore) took third in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:52.79.
Weems added a fourth-place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:05.19) while junior Olivia Fravel (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) finished fourth in the 100 freestyle in 57.14.
Junior Abby Condon (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) earned a fourth-place finish in the 100 backstroke in 1:03.52 while Krotzer paced SU in the 50 freestyle with a fifth-place finish in 26.92.
