SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's swim team captured eight of 14 events Sunday afternoon but came up short to regionally-ranked Franklin & Marshall College on Senior Day. Susquehanna (1-3) succumbed to a 139-123 setback to the visiting Diplomats (6-2), who are eighth in the Northeast South Region.

Cate Welch (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West), and
Erin Wetmore (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) – were recognized for their dedication to the program.

How It Happened
- Susquehanna owned a 114-112 advantage through 12 events.
- The Diplomats then claimed three of the top-5 spots in the 200 individual medley for 14 points before adding 13 more points by capturing the 200 freestyle relay and also taking third in the event for the 16-point victory. SU only tallied nine points in the final two events.
- Kelly and first-year Haley Muth (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) each claimed a pair of first-place finishes to lead the River Hawks.
- Kelly opened up her final home meet with a first-place finish in the 1,000 freestyle in 11:12.27 followed by sophomore Larisa Calvo (Bath, Pa./Northampton) in fourth in 11:40.67 and sophomore Victoria Morin (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) in fifth in 11:48.66.
- Kelly also took top honors in the 500 freestyle in 5:23.52 followed by Calvo in fifth in 5:41.39.
- Muth continued her strong rookie campaign with a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.97 followed by sophomore Paige Swartz (Pottstown, Pa./Hill) in second in 1:12.02 and junior Olivia Fravel (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) in fourth in 1:12.77.
- Muth followed that up with a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.91 while sophomore Sabrina Krotzer (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) took fourth in 1:02.54.
- Junior Tori Weems (Cordova, Md./Easton) won the 200 freestyle in 2:02.29 while Shaffer finished third in 2:03.15 and first-year Madison Peifer (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock South) in fourth in 2:07.48.
- First-year Julia Adams (Palmyra, N.J./Palmyra) captured the 100 backstroke in 1:01.32 while junior Abby Condon (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) placed fourth in 1:05.07.
- Krotzer nabbed a first-place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:17.63 while Wetmore came in fifth in 2:32.76.
- Condon registered the River Hawks' last first-place finish by winning the 200 backstroke in 2:13.59. Shaffer finished second in 2:14.49 while Adams took fourth in 2:16.82.
- The foursome of Adams, Muth, Krotzer, and Weems notched a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay in 1:53.67.
- Swartz collected a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke in 2:36.10 while sophomore Tara Caucino (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Boro) took fifth in 2:42.60.
- Shaffer recorded a second-place finish in the 200 individual medley in 2:18.19 while Caucino came in fifth in 2:29.79.
- Muth, Adams, Krotzer, and Weems came together for a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:43.34.
- Weems had the top River Hawk finish in the 100 freestyle, coming in third in 57.87, while Peifer took fifth in 58.85.
- Peifer led Susquehanna in the 50 freestyle with a fourth-place finish in 27.26 followed by O'Hara in 27.35.
