Box Score Baltimore, Md. - Susquehanna women's soccer notched a season opening road victory on Saturday defeating the University of Mary Washington at the John Hopkins Invitational. The game went into double overtime, and was decided by an own goal for Mary Washington, leading the River Hawks to a victory.

Samantha Chillis (Danville, PA/ Danville Area), lead the River Hawks offense throughout the game with a total of five shots on goal.
Cierra Getz (Muncy, PA/Hughesville) totaled two shots on goal as well.
Mary Washington had five attempts on goal as well to try and topple Susquehanna. However, goalkeeper
Chloe Wieczkowski (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentwon Regional) was strong in net for the River Hawks, keeping Susquehanna in the game throughout regulation and overtime.

- Susquehanna is set to match up again against Randolph-Macon College Sept. 5 at 4 p.m. to complete the John Hopkins Invitational. They will head out on the road once again to face Dickinson on September 8th before they play at home on September 11th vs. Muhlenberg.
