MADISON, NJ (November 12, 2022) -- The Susquehanna University women's swim team was downed by Drew University 186-81 on Saturday afternoon in Madison, NJ.
Haley Muth dominated for the 2nd straight week, as she won both of her individual events. Muth was the top finisher in the 50 Yard Freestyle, out touching the field by .08 with a time of 25.01. She also won the 100 Yard Butterfly in a 59.43. Her butterfly performance from last week still leads the Landmark Conference.
Senior Madison Peifer was the other River Hawk victor, as she cruised to a 500 Yard Freestyle win in a personal best time of 5:39.08.
Senior Julia Adams finished 2nd in both the 100 and 200 Yard Backstroke, finishing in a 1:01.99 and 2:17.44, respectively. Adams was the 2nd fastest River Hawk in the 50 Yard Freestyle, touching the wall in a 26.47. Both of her backstroke swims were season-best times.
The River Hawk relays were bested by the Rangers at the start and close of the meet, as the squad of Ashley Derrick, Mackenzie Moran, Haley Muth, and Emma Church finished the 200 Yard Medley Relay in a 1:54.86. Muth, Church, Peifer, and Adams teamed up in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, posting a season-best time of 3:48.29.
The River Hawk women move to 1-1 on the season and will travel to Carlisle next weekend to take on the Red Devils of Dickinson College.
