CARLISLE, PA (November 19, 2022) -- The Susquehanna University women's swimming and diving squad dropped a competitive meet to Dickinson College 150-108 in action from Clarke Aquatic Center.
The 200 medley relay of
Julia Adams,
Mia Doll,
Haley Muth and first-year Emma Church earned the win with a final time of 1:53.89 for 11 points.
In the 1000 freestyle,
Megan Iannacone posted a personal best time of 12:02.21 for third place, while SU went 2-3-4 in the 200 freestyle.
Madison Peifer was second with a 2:06.16, while Church was right behind her in third with a 2:08.06.
Ava Baur also clocked a season-best time of 2:10.06.
Ashley Derrick was SU's first individual winner of the day, earning a win in the 100 backstroke with a season-best time of 1:01.88. Adams was second in the 100 back after swimming a 1:02.81.
SU went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke as well, as Muth touched the wall in 1:10.23 followed by Doll in second with a personal-best time of 1:12.85. The 50 freestyle saw Peifer clock a season-best time of 27.51 for fourth place, while Payton Kenny was fifth with a season-best of 27.84.
In the 100 freestyle, Adams posted a 58.05 for third place and Baur recorded a season-best of 59.53 to finish fourth. In the 200 backstroke, Iannacone had a huge season-best time of 2:27.37 for third place.
The River Hawks got another individual win in the 200 breaststroke as Doll finished with a 2:38.34 while Mac Moran was third in the event with a 2:43.45. Church recorded a personal-best of 5:49.67 in the 500 free, and Muth was second in the 100 fly with a time of 59.99.
Muth was also second in the 200 IM to finish the afternoon, and Derrick was fifth in the event after swimming a 2:28.12. In the 400 freestyle relay, Adams, Church, Doll and Peifer swam a 3:54.50 to pick up 11 points.
The River Hawks will be back in action December 2-3 in Ithaca, NY, taking part in the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College.
