BETHLEHEM, PA (January 15, 2023) – The Susquehanna women's swimming visited Moravian University on Saturday afternoon to compete in a Landmark double dual meet with the Greyhounds and the Gophers of Goucher College. The River Hawks came out on top in both matchups, beating Moravian 125-45 and defeating Goucher 124-59.
The River Hawks won seven events on the day, with Haley Muth scoring wins in the 200 and 500 Free, Ashley Derrick winning the 200 IM, first place for Madison Peifer in the 100 Free, and a win for Julia Adams in the 100 Backstroke. Muth also joined with Katie Fackler, Katie Mowery, and Emma Church for a win in the 400 Free Relay. Peifer teamed with Mackenzie Moran, Amy Segond, and Mia Doll to take victory in the 400 Medley Relay.
SU also got key points through a second-place finish in the 200 Free by Doll, second and fourth place in the 50 Free by Leah Tessarvich and Payton Kenney, third in the 200 IM for Adams, another second for Tessarvich in the 100 backstroke, second in the 500 Free for Emma Church, and another second for Doll, this one in the 100 Breaststroke.
The team will hit the pool again next week on Friday, January 20 at Franklin & Marshall College. That meet will begin at 6 pm.
