SELINSGROVE, PA - The Susquehanna University women's swimming team played a close meet to the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays 110-104 on Saturday afternoon in Selinsgrove.
The River Hawks got off to a good start as Leah Tessarvich, Mia Doll, Amy Segond, and Emma Church got the win in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:54.67.
Each also had strong individual outings, with all four getting a top two finish in their respective events. Doll won the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:17.86 and finished second in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Segond took silver in the 50 Yard Freestyle before taking gold in the 100 Yard Butterfly in 1:02.57. Tessarvich won the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:04.82, and Church finished second in the 200 Yard Freestyle.
Other River Hawks also shined as Mackenzie Moran won the 100 Yard Breaststroke recording a 1:13.43 time, and Julia Romano won the 1M Diving.
Sophomore Payton Kenney also contributed with second place finishes in the 100 Yard Freestyle and in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay alongside Megan Innacone, Hailey Oosterwyck, and Catherine Sirignano.
The River Hawk women will travel to Mahwah, NJ to take on Ramapo College Roadrunners next Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. start time.Â
