SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna men's soccer celebrated Senior Day on Saturday as they took on RV Moravian. The River Hawks led 2-nil at halftime, but were unable to see out the win and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first early chance came for Moravian in the second minute, a shot from distance following a corner that was cleared, and that shot hit the crossbar.
- A quick counter-attack by the River Hawks led to a chance for Alex Clark, who was denied by Casey Prajzner in goal for the Greyhounds after a searching through ball by Khalil McDonald.
- Further chances came and went for Moravian, who forced two saves from Finn Kramer in goal for Susquehanna in the 14th and 17th minutes.
- Susquehanna got the first of the afternoon in the 29th minute via Angelo Zografos, as McDonald's through ball reached Jack McCarthy, who took on a defender before sliding a well-timed pass to Zografos, who beat an onrushing Prajzner with a right-footed finish.
- The lead was doubled just before the break as Hayden Swinehart curled in a dangerous cross, and Javier Diaz made the run the delivery needed, getting away from two defenders and heading in the second from close range.
- Moravian got one back with 20 minutes to go, with a square ball being knocked away but turned back in by Rafi Sanjuan.
- The Greyhounds equalized under similar circumstances with another square ball from the goal-line, that bounced around in the penalty area before being poked in.
- Ahead of kick-off, the team's eight seniors were recognized for their contributions to the program over the past four years, with Swinehart, Sam Netzley, Aaron Mowrer, John Kuderka, Marcello Pannone, Zografos, Josh Higgins, and Liam Raney being honored for their impacts on the team and the SU community.

UP NEXT FOR SU
- Just three games remain for Jim Findlay's men, who now are 5-7-3 on the year, with a 1-2-3 figure in Landmark play, with their six points just one off the playoff positions. The next comes on Tuesday, October 21st, when the River Hawks travel to #23 Catholic, and they wrap the regular season up with all to play for in games at Lycoming and on home soil against Goucher.
