WASHINGTON, DC - Susquehanna men's soccer fought a tough Landmark Conference battle on Tuesday night in the nation's capital, but were unable to overcome the pressure of RV Catholic, who handed the River Hawks a 1-0 defeat.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Catholic applied early pressure, but were unable to trouble Susquehanna goalkeeper Finn Kramer, who was only called into action once by the halfway point of the first half.
- Susquehanna's first chance of the game was a shot by Henry McElroy in the 25th minute, but his effort was kept out by the Catholic stopper.
- John Kuderka had a chance just after the half-hour mark, but his effort missed high.
- Kramer was called into action two further times in the first half, keeping both Cardinal shots out as the River Hawks went into the interval on level terms.
- After a further Kramer save in the 50th minute, Catholic broke the deadlock in the 58th minute, as the Landmark's top scorer on the season, Holden Woodings, scored for the Cardinals.
- An 84th-minute corner represented a chance for Susquehanna to get on terms, but the River Hawks were unable to convert the opportunity.
