GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's cross country team turned in a strong showing at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday morning, finishing 10th overall in a competitive field hosted by Gettysburg College. Ideal racing conditions and a fast, dry course helped fuel standout efforts across the lineup, resulting in six personal bests for the River Hawks.
Sophia Bostwick (Jr.) once again paced Susquehanna, covering the 6K course in 22:46.8 to place 25th overall.
Griane Reed (Sr.) followed in 23:53.2, with
Julianna Sobocinski (So.) close behind in 24:31.8, rounding out the team's top three finishers.
Jess Askins (Fr.) continued her steady progression, posting a 24:41.2, while junior
Riley Schlosser capped off the scoring five in 25:00.1. Behind them,
Ayla Kerwan (Jr.),
Kylie Dixon (Sr.), and
Sydney Querry (So.) each delivered season-best performances as part of a tight Susquehanna pack through the middle of the field.
The River Hawks showed encouraging signs of progress ahead of championship season, with depth and consistency continuing to define the team's identity.
