ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - The Susquehanna women's soccer team travels to Elizabethtown College this weekend to take on Elizabethtown College in the opening round of the Landmark Conference Tournament.

The River Hawks played an extremely robust schedule in the 2025 season, including an opening day match against nationally ranked Misericordia University. They then returned home to face Haverford College, before heading back on the road to take on Penn State Harrisburg. SU tallied a huge win over Delaware Valley early in the season, where teh team won five of the next six matches. The River Hawks welcomed Notre Dame of Maryland University following the senior day win over Delaware Valley, where the team defeated the Gators, 4-nil. SU continued their home stand against DeSales University, followed by Muhlenberg College, where the team notched yet another 4-nil win over the Mules. Susquehanna headed down to Arlington, VA to take on Marymount University following their home stand, where an early second half goal by
Sydney Williams was all SU needed to notch yet another win on the season.
Gigi Duncan played hero against Stevenson, drawing a penalty kick opportunity late in the game, scoring the games only goal, winning the game for the River Hawks. Susquehanna carried their non-conference momentum into conference play, finishing the conference schedule sitting at 4-3-2, claiming the fifth seed in the Landmark Conference, guaranteeing their spot in the Landmark Conference Tournament. Katie Henchy is second with seven solo shutouts.Â
Susquehanna defeated three straight conference opponents, earning nine important conference points. SU defeated Drew University, Juniata College, and Moravian University, allowing zero goals during this span. The River Hawks became the only team to earn a tie against Lycoming, being the only team the entire season to accomplish this feat. With one game remaining on their schedule, SU left to Baltimore, MD, where a win would guarantee themselves a playoff spot, the first since 2023. SU did just this, the team defeated the Gophers, claiming the fifth spot in the Landmark Conference, setting up a date with Elizabethtown College on Saturday, November 1.
