SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna women's tennis fell to Marywood in a non-conference Saturday afternoon matchup at SU's Garrett Tennis Courts. The River Hawks move to 1-3 on the season with three more fall matches to play.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
- Susquehanna picked up a doubles win at three thanks to Claire Gallagher and Emma McCann's 6-2 victory. Ultimately the Pacers earned the doubles point by winning the one and two doubles matches by the same score.
- Gallagher made it a clean sweep for her Saturday by winning out at five singles over Hannah Adonizio by 6-4 and 6-2 scores. Marywood made it the only Susquehanna singles wins as they won the remaining matches.
- After a 6-0 defeat in set one, Mackenzie Romig made it a battle at one singles for opponent Kylie Kilgore to clinch the set, with the Pacer coming out on top in the second frame 7-6 (1).
- The next closest sets for Susquehanna were 6-4 set scores in games two, four and six. Kaiya Reisinger's two match featured that score in set one, as did four singles player Macey DiBastiani. McCann's six singles match featured that score in the second set.
UP NEXT FOR THE RIVER HAWKS
- Susquehanna heads down to Albright Thursday, followed by home matches against Misericordia Saturday and Penn College Sunday to complete its fall season.
