Women's Swimming Completes the Misericordia Cougar Splash Invite

DALLAS, PA- Susquehanna women's swimming completed the Misericordia University Cougar Splash Invite. The River Hawks finish in fifth place with a total of 202 points.

Session 1:

Matilda Klinetob and Kate Wolford were the lone River Hawks to compete in the 500 yard freestyle, with Klinetob taking 11th place, posting a time of 5:29.47. Wolford showed a time of 5:32.40.
Erika Guche claimed the first podium finish of the meet, taking third place in the 200 yard IM, posting a time of 2:21.38.
Catherine Sirignano took ninth place, followed by a fifteenth place shortly after.
Tessa Cronin took eighth place in the 50 yard freestyle, showcasing a time of 26.04.
The final event of the first session saw Sirignano, Donner, Guche, and Cronin finish the 200 yard medley relay in seventh place with a time of 1:58.83.
Heading into the second session of the meet, the women currently sit in fifth place with 45 total points.

Session 2:

Cronin, Kenney, Donner, and Church opened the second session with a sixth place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay. The quad posted a time of 1:43.75.
Catherine Sirignano took sixth place in the 400 yard IM, showing a time of 4:54.37.
Twentieth place belonged to Maddie Lebkicker in the 100 yard butterfly. Lebkicker finished the race with a time of 1:06.52.
Emma Church got a tenth place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:05.93.
The second session wrapped up with the 400 yard medley relay. Alvino, Nash, Lebkicker, and Cronin finished the session in tenth place with a time of 4:27.61.
The River Hawks sat fourth place following the second session with 110 points.

Session 3:

The third session began with an eleventh place finish for Maddie Lebkicker in the 200 yard butterfly. Lebkicker finished the event with a time of 2:27.09.
Cameron Alvino finished in seventh place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.19.
Fifth place belonged to Jillie Donner in the 100 yard breaststroke. Donner wrapped up the race with a time of 1:11.68.
Rounding out the third session was the 800 yard freestyle relay. Donner, Klinetob, Wolford, and Sirignano finished the race in eighth place with a time of 8:29.63.
After the third of four session, Susquehanna in fifth place with 152 points.

Session 4:

Matilda Klinetob opened the day with a ninth place finish in the 1650 yard freestyle, showing a time of 18:42.78.
Emma Church got an eleventh place finish in the 100 yard freestyle, posting a time of 56.55.
Catherine Sirignano finished in sixth place in the 200 yard backstroke. Sirignano tallied a time of 2:16.46.
Erika Guche finished in sixth place in the 200 yard breaststroke. Guche showed a time of 2:36.31.
The final event of the meet was the 400 yard freestyle relay. Donner, Kenney, Cronin, and Church scored a seventh place finish with a time of 3:47.59.
Rounding out the meet, the River Hawks finished in fifth place with a total of 207 points.

Susquehanna takes a short break before returning to the road on January 17 as the team takes on Conference foe, the University of Scranton. The River Hawks return home following the Royals meet to take on Bloomsburg University on January 24.
