Women's Swimming Performs Well in Regular Season Finale vs. Moravian, Lycoming

BETHLEHEM, PA - Susquehanna women's swimming wrapped up their regular season Saturday by defeating Landmark Conference foes Moravian University and Lycoming College. The meet, hosted by Moravian, completes the River Hawks' regular-season slate as they devote the next two weeks getting ready for the Landmark Championships in mid-February. 

How it Happened:
  • Catherine Sirignano, Jillie Donner, Cameron Alvino, and Tessa Cronin started the scoring for the River Hawks, taking a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. The quad posted a time of 1:58.54.
  • Matilda Klinetob took a first place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle, showing a time of 11:23.96.
  • Tessa Cronin continued to dazzle with a first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle, posting a time of 2:09.83.
  • Emma Church and Payton Kenney took first and second place, respectively, in the 50 yard freestyle. Church finished the event with a time of 26.19, with Kenney showing a time of 26.31.
  • The 200 yard IM saw Hannah Nash finish in with a time of 2:27.13.
  • Maddie Lebkicker beat out fellow River Hawk swimmer, Erika Guche, in the 200 yard butterfly. Lebkicker finished the race with a time of 2:27.89, with Guche finishing with a time of 2:28.78.
  • Emma Church took first place in the 100 yard freestyle, with Jillie Donner taking second place. Church finished with a time of 57.06, and Donner with a time of 59.91.
  • Matilda Klinetob won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:39.18.
  • Erika Guche took the gold medal finish in the 200 yard breaststroke, showing a time of 2:39.88.
  • The River Hawks rounded out the day in the 200 yard freestyle relay, winning the race. Donner, Kenney, Cronin, and Church posted a time of 1:45.05.

  • Susquehanna finishes the regular season going 5-1 in Conference meets, with a 5-3 overall record. 
  • The River Hawks look to claim the title of Landmark Conference Championships on February 12-15 as the team heads to Baltimore, MD for the Landmark Conference Championships.
