DAVIDS, PA - Susquehanna women's basketball defeated the Eagles of Eastern University ahead of their Puerto Rico Clasico trip, winning their fourth straight game and advancing to 8-1 on the season. The River Hawks, along with adding a receiving votes moniker in the newest D3hoops.com national rankings, maintain their double digit point differential in every game they have won this season with a 67-51 margin against the host Eagles.
How it Happened:
- Susquehanna struck first to open the game, with a Carly George layup in the paint to take the early 2-0 lead.
- The Eagles continued to fight, jumping out to as much as a seven point lead over the visitors.
- Susquehanna netted nine points in the first quarter, trailing Eastern 16-9 after the first frame of play.
- The second quarter was all SU, with the River Hawks cutting into the Eastern lead, cutting it down to three on multiple occasions.
- Susquehanna tied the game at 22 all, taking their first lead of the quarter with 1:22 to go in the half.
