SELINSGROVE, PA - Four Susquehanna softball student-athletes were honored to the All-Landmark Conference Team, as announced by the Landmark Conference. The team claimed three Second-Team choices in junior pitcher Brianna Jones, first-year outfielder Alyssa Mayorca, and senior shortstop Lexi Palumbo. First-year designated player, Savannah Patrone, earned an Honorable Mention. This is Palumbo's third honor to the All-Landmark Team after taking First-Team Honors in 2023 and 2024, while this is Jones's, Patrone's, and Mayorca's first appearance.
The River Hawks played a robust schedule in 2025 leading into conference play, opening the season in California with four sets of doubleheaders against California Lutheran, Occidental, Whitter, and Redlands. They then headed to Salisbury University for the Margie Tournament, with one highlight in particular there featuring a 1-0 nine-inning win over TCNJ where pitcher Jones threw all nine frames for one of her six shutout victories of the season. They claimed at least one win against all their Landmark opponents, including a thrilling 5-4 victory over 12th-ranked Moravian on April 22, the top seed and hosts of this weekend's Landmark Tournament. Their 10-6 league record that included sweeps of Juniata and Elizabethtown earned the River Hawks the third seed for the conference tournament, where they are slated to face two-seeded Catholic in the opening round. They split their season series with the Cardinals, winning the opener, 4-3. Jones was a two-time Landmark Pitcher of the Week, most recently earning the honor after throwing a career-high 12 strikeouts against Drew in a 2-0 win Friday to clinch their tournament spot.

ALYSSA MAYORCA (OF): Started in 26 games, appeared in 28, earned a .410 batting average, ranking her second all-time in school history to begin her career...32-78 from the plate, earning three doubles and four triples...stole 18 bases in her first-year campaign. 4 hit day against Elizabethtown on 4/19/25...3 runs scored against Occidental College in California, leads Landmark in first-year batting average.
LEXI PALUMBO (SS): Started all 33 games this season, earning a .359 season batting average, earned 33 hits, and one home run her senior season... 33-92 from the plate, earning 12 doubles...ranks 5th all time in school history in at-bats, 3rd in hits, 4th in RBI's, 1st in doubles, and 2nd in walks. 444 career at-bats, 162 hits, 80 RBI's, 49 doubles, 58 drawn walks...223 career putouts, career high 3 against Drew on 5/2/25...3 hit day against Elizabethtown on 4/19/25.
