DALLAS, PA - The River Hawks women's soccer fell short in the season opener against #7 Misericordia University, 2-0, on Friday night. 

How It Happened 

• The Cougars jumped out to the lead shortly after the second half of play resumed. The Cougars first goal was scored at the 56:59 mark of the game. 

• Following the opening goal of the afternoon, Misericordia netted their second goal at the 67:47 mark of the match up. 

Inside the Numbers 

• The River Hawks earned two shots during the contest, both of which were on goal.  

• Rachel Rinehart earned the first shot for the River Hawks on the young season at the 44:00-minute mark of the contest. 

• Ava Billmeyer earned SU's second shot of the afternoon at the 83:38 mark. 

• Katie Henchey made her presence known on the afternoon, tallying 12 saves on the afternoon. 

• Henchey earned 7 saves in the first half of play, followed by 5 saves in the second half.  

• The River Hawks drew two fouls during the match, with one coming in each half.
