YORK, PA - Susquehanna men's soccer traveled to take on York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, but were dealt a 2-0 defeat behind two first-half strikes by the Spartans.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans got the first chance of the game in the 5th minute, but Finn Kramer turned the effort away for a corner.
- The hosts struck first in the 17th minute, when a corner was flicked on by Gavin Huey and directed in by Matt Martin.
- A delivery from a Spartan free kick was headed in by Huey in the 26th minute to give York a two-goal cushion.
- The River Hawks won a corner and Alex Clark delivered, and it found the head of Zak Kreisher, who sent a looping header that was saved by the York goalkeeper.
- Chances came and went for both sides, but the River Hawks only troubled the York goalkeeper once in the second half through Ryan Kratzer.
- Before the shot by Kratzer, Susquehanna saw second-half efforts from Henry McElroy, Jack McCarthy, and John Kuderka.
