MIDDLETOWN, PA - Susquehanna University women's soccer traveled to Penn State Harrisburg in a Wednesday night showdown. Sydney Williams provided the River Hawks' first goal of the season in the second half, though it wasn't enough to cut into the three goals PSUH scored to lead off the game. They tacked on one more before the final whistle as the River Hawks suffered a 4-1 defeat. 

How It Happened 

• Diana Pon for PSUH started the scoring, knocking in two balls less than four minutes apart between the 40th and 44th minute to lead 2-0 at intermission. 

• Coming out of the first frame break, Penn State Harrisburg scored their third goal of the contest, courtesy of Julia Hughes. 

• The River Hawks responded with one goal, their first of the young season, off an unassisted shot by Sydney Williams at the 68:00-minute mark of the contest. 

• PSUH scored the final goal of the night at the 80:56 mark of the matchup from Serenity Hill, to defeat the River Hawks 4-1. 

Inside the Numbers 

• The River Hawks earned three shots during the match, with two shots coming on goal. Olivia St. Amand, Audrey Miller, and Sydney Williams all earned one shot during the game. 

• Katie Henchy continued her streak of fantastic games, saving six balls.  

• The River Hawks earned two corner kicks, with one coming in each frame.
