Volleyball Drops Pair of Matches to Stevenson and Salisbury

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Susquehanna University women's volleyball traveled to Stevenson University on Saturday for a pair of matches, falling to the host Mustangs and Salisbury University in straight sets.

Match One: Stevenson 3, Susquehanna 0
  • The River Hawks opened the day against Stevenson, pushing the Mustangs in a competitive first set before falling 27-25. Stevenson followed with a 25-22 win in the second set and secured the match with a 25-22 victory in the third.
  • Camille Ince led Susquehanna with nine kills and added a block, while Addison Dodge contributed six kills and three total blocks.
  • Sami Kline added five kills, and Stella Robinson recorded six kills and two block assists.
  • Lauren Halsey and Emma Nkanza combined to direct the offense, with Halsey recording 13 assists and Nkanza adding 13 assists.
  • Callie Wince paced the defensive effort with 15 digs, while Abby Madigan added five digs.
  • Susquehanna finished with 30 kills, 26 assists, 43 digs and five total blocks.

Match Two: Salisbury 3, Susquehanna 0
  • Susquehanna returned to the court against Salisbury in the second match of the day. The Sea Gulls claimed the opening set 25-20 and controlled the second set 25-15 before the River Hawks mounted a late challenge in the third.
  • Susquehanna battled Salisbury into extra points, overcoming a 24-23 deficit with two straight points to lead 25-24, but the Sea Gulls ultimately secured a 28-26 victory to complete the sweep.
  • Ince led the River Hawks with 16 kills and added a service ace, providing a consistent presence in the attack.
  • Dodge contributed six kills and three total blocks, while Robinson added six kills.
  • Halsey recorded 31 assists, and Nkanza finished with nine digs and continued to help organize the offense.
  • Makenzie Cober and Callie Wince each recorded eight digs to help lead Susquehanna's defensive effort.
  • Susquehanna totaled 35 kills, 31 assists, 39 digs and three total blocks.
