WILLIAMSPORT, PA - The Susquehanna University women's tennis team made their spring season debut a quick, yet effective one Sunday as they swept King's College of Pa. 7-0 at the Central PA Tennis Center.
THE DOUBLES MATCHES
- Alexa Wanamaker made her season debut after being abroad this fall, as she and doubles partner Mackenzie Romig defeated Carlee Dellose and Kimberly Dinh at one, 7-5.
- Amelia Maguire and Macey DiBastiani earned a sweep of Betsy Allen and Miley Caetano in the two spot, 6-0.
- Katherine Yoder also returned this spring after her fall abroad, using her season premiere to partner with Nanci Major to pull off a 6-0 victory over Allison Van Pelt and Madeline Sirianni.
THE SINGLES MATCHES
- Wanamaker faced Dellose again in the one singles matches, winning the first frame 6-4 and eding her out in the second, 7-5 (5).
- Kaiya Reisinger took care of Allen at two singles with matching 6-1 scores.
- DiBastiani also made it a two-win day with her three singles triumph over Dinh, 6-3 and 6-2.
- Yoder made it a Sunday sweep also, beating Van Pelt at four, 6-1 and 6-0.
- Claire Gallagher shut out Caetano at five, 6-0 and 6-0, while Major accounted for the team's remaining win Sunday against Sirianni, 8-0.

- The River Hawks have a bit of a rest before picking up their Landmark Season on Saturday, Mar. 21, hosting Goucher at 1 p.m.
