SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna women's lacrosse was unable to keep up with the offensive out pour from Catholic, falling 18-11 at home Wednesday evening. After falling down early 2-0 the River Hawks recovered and scored five straight goals in the first quarter, before giving up the lead early in the second.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
- Catholic got it started first with a quick goal from Maddie McDevitt only 50 seconds into the game.
- Maggie Traynor followed that up with a goal of her own to give the Cardinals a two goal lead with 11:34 left in the first.
- Sloane Coddington started off a great five-goal run with the River Hawks first of the day off of a Sophia Trively assist.
- Kieran Spears tied it up with a free position goal with 9:15 left in the first.
- Jessica Russo gave Susquehanna the lead with another free position goal to make it 3-2.
- Sophia Trively scored an unassisted goal to double the River Hawks lead before Russo scored again to finish off the run making it 5-2.
- Catholic finished off the quarter scoring two more goals off the sticks of Henley Bredemann and Annie Galarza.
- Bredemann started off the second quarter quickly, tying it up only 19 seconds into the quarter.
- Makaela Larkin fired off an impressive shot to give the River Hawks their last lead of the day.
- The Cardinals fired off five goals in a row to give them a 10-6 lead with 7:10.
- Waverly Oake-Libow and Coddington scored within 30 seconds of each other to bring the River Hawks back with two.
- Garlaza scored another for Catholic to make it 11-8 headed into halftime.
- Reagan Quinn opened the half with a quick goal to put the Cardinals up by four with 14:19 left in the third.
- Both offenses slowed down, with the next goal being scored seven minutes later, putting Catholic up by five.
- Maggie McDermott scored the first and only goal of the third quarter for the River Hawks making it 13-9.
- Bredemann scored another goal to end the third putting Catholic up by four again.
- Catholic kept the pressure up in the fourth, scoring three straight goals and separating themselves more from Susquehanna.
- Abby Andrus scored her first goal of the game and Susquehanna's last to make it 17-10. Catholic scored once more to end the game at 18-10.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Russo and Coddington led the offense with two goals apiece. Russo also had one assist.
- Bredemann led the Catholic offense with four goals and two assists, totaling six points.
- Susquehanna went 3-3 in the first half on free position shots, ending the day at 3-5. Catholic was 0-1.
- Catholic had more draw controls and ground balls than Susquehanna, leading 16-14 in draw controls and 34-22 ground balls.
- Keiran Spears led both teams with eight draw controls. Quinn led Catholic with five.
- Both teams turned the ball over a lot, Susquehanna had 21 and Catholic had 17.
- Catholic had 30 shots to Susquehanna's 24 and 25 shots on goal to Susquehanna's 12.
- Andrus' lone goal of the day was impactful for the senior as she moved into the upper echelon of the record books with 149 goals, tied for fourth all-time, and 171 points to tie for 10th all-time.Â

- The River Hawks stay home and prepare to take on #13 Scranton at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Sassafras Field. They then head back on the road to end the season at Goucher.
- Susquehanna will recognize its seniors this Saturday prior to the Scranton game.Â
