SELINSGROVE, PA - Former Susquehanna standout Kelsey Homberg '24 has rejoined her former head coach
Randall Swope, now in an assistant coaching role for the River Hawks women's lacrosse team. Homberg recently wrapped up a two-year stint as a graduate assistant coach at Bloomsburg University, where she earned her Master of Science in Sports and Performance Psychology.
Homberg, a 2024 graduate of Susquehanna, played all four years of women's lacrosse, while earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. As a midfielder she finished her career second all-time in program history with 282 draw controls (currently third) and ranked tenth all-time with 115 career goals, while adding 32 assists for a lifetime total of 147 points. Homberg was a four-time All-Landmark selection, reaching First Team honors in 2021, 2022 and 2024, and named to the IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region Team three times in 2021, 2022 and 2024. As a sophomore in '22 she gathered a career-best 96 draw controls that ranks fourth all-time, then the following year racked up a career-high 54 points on 39 goals and 15 assists in 2023. Her senior year she tabbed another high-scoring year with 34 goals and nine assists with 85 draw controls, helping the River Hawks to their highest win total in 11 years with a 13-6 record to clinch the number-three seed in the Landmark Tournament. Homberg was chosen to compete in the 2024 IWLCA Senior All-Star Game, bringing together the top women's lacrosse student-athletes in NCAA Division III.
