SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna fell to the University of Scranton on Senior Day 14-7. Scranton took an early first quarter lead and never looked back, scoring 11 first-half goals. The River Hawks loss to the #13 Royals brings them to 5-3 in the Landmark Conference and 8-8 overall.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
- Natalie Paul opened up the scoring putting the Royals up early with 12:07 left in the first quarter.
- Jillian Lopez, Scranton's leading scorer, scored two in a row to give the Royals a three goal lead.
- The River Hawks fought back, with Sophia Trively scoring a man-up goal to bring them within two before Scranton tallied another goal.
- Trively scored her second of the game off of a Jessica Russo assist to make it 4-2 in Scranton's favor.
- The Royals scored two more to make it 6-2 at the end of the first quarter.
- Susquehanna was held scoreless in the second quarter, allowing Scranton to go on a five goal run off four different sticks to go up 11-2 at halftime.
- Makaela Larkin and Russo scored two quick goals out of the half to give the River Hawks some energy and make it 11-4.
- The Royals scored another two goals to end the third quarter up by nine.
- Eileen Hewitt scored 16 seconds into the fourth quarter to set up the running clock and give Scranton a 10 goal lead.
- Susquehanna didn't allow a goal for the rest of the game, settling in and scoring three more goals. Alena Malinowski scored twice and Abby DiComes scored the final goal of the game to make it 14-7.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Trivelty and Malinowski both scored twice for Susquehanna leading the offense. Larkin, DiComes, and Russo also scored.
- Lopez scored four goals for Scranton, leading the team. Hewitt scored three and Jessica McCabe scored twice. Alexandra Back, Riley Miller, Colleen Mullin, Grace DiDominica, and Natalie Paul also scored.
- Scranton outshot Susquehanna 29-23 and had 17 shots on goal to Susquehanna's 16.
- Susquehanna turned the ball over 20 times and Scranton had 17 turnovers.
- Susquehanna had 12 draw controls to Scranton's 11. Keiran Spears led both teams with seven.
- Aerin O'Brien was in the goal for the entire game with six saves and 14 goals allowed. Eva Guerino allowed seven goals and had 11 saves for Scranton.
UP NEXT FOR THE RIVER HAWKS
- The River Hawks head to Baltimore, MD, on Wednesday, April 22, to take on Goucher College in their last game of the season. Following that game they will prepare for the Landmark Conference Tournament beginning on Saturday, April 25.
