Women Second, Men Sixth Ahead of Landmark Golf Championships

DELAWARE, PA - Susquehanna University's men's and women's golf teams have both made significant strides throughout the 2025–26 season, turning in some of the strongest performances in program history.

In his second full season, Aaron Ettinger has guided the women's team to impressive success, bolstered by his young roster of first years and sophomores. The River Hawks have recorded four tournament victories this season, as well as four individual titles (Kennedy Petrovich two, Cailyn Schall two). The women enter postseason play riding a three-tournament winning streak, building perfect momentum heading into the Landmark Conference Championships. The women's toughest competition comes from Drew University and Catholic University. Catholic enters the championship aiming for a fourth consecutive title, while Susquehanna is determined to halt their run and win their first Landmark Championship. On the men's side, head coach Ryan Redfern, who is also in his second year, has seen similar growth to the women. With the addition of five first-years, the River Hawks have secured two tournament wins, with two individual titles from first-year Jax Puskar.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort will once again serve as the site of the Landmark Conference Championship, marking its third consecutive year hosting the event. At last year's championship, the women placed third with a team score of 697, while the men finished eighth with a 653.

In the Landmark Conference Preview this past fall, the women continued to show their upward trajectory with a second-place finish (676), while the men placed eighth (625). Kennedy Petrovich led the women with a T-5 finish (80,83), followed by Cailyn Schall in seventh (84,84). For the men, Marc Twombly led the team finishing T-11 (72,82), while Jax Puskar followed with a T-17 finish (80,76). The women will feature the same starting five from the fall. The men, however, will see a lineup adjustment, as Senior Patrick Bova steps in for the injured Marc Twombly.
