LOUISVILLE, KY - Susquehanna softball senior pitcher Brianna Jones was selected Second Team All-Region V by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Jones completed an outstanding career in the circle for the River Hawks, becoming the sixth pitcher ever in team annals to reach 300 strikeouts, ranking fourth all-time with 340. 

Throughout her four years Jones was one of Susquehanna's most prominent faces opposing teams looked out for. She battled through injury to finish with a 7-4 record and appearing in 15 games with ten starts. She recorded 77 strikeouts over 81.1 innings pitched, including a season-high ten against Wilkes on May 2 that earned her Landmark Pitcher of the Week and helped Susquehanna clinch its 17th straight Landmark Conference Tournament appearance. Jones also was a stern presence with the bat, as the lefty batter averaged .325 with 25 hits, four doubles and three home runs with 12 RBIs. On the base paths she stole eight bases and came across to score 18 times, while totaling 35 bases with seven walks for a .416 on-base percentage. 

Jones' four-year total amounts to a 43-18 record, tied for fifth all-time in wins, with a 2.22 lifetime ERA. She pitched 429.0 innings and totaled 340 strikeouts with 13 shutouts and one save. Also serving as a utility player she moved around the infield, most notable at shortstop and first base for a .947 fielding percentage and 49 putouts. At the plate she amassed 77 hits on a .342 career batting average, appearing in 104 games with 91 starts. She had 16 career doubles and nine triples towards a .478 slugging percentage. She also reached base 29 times between 15 walks and 14 hit by pitches for a .400 on-base percentage.
