ALTOONA, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday afternoon at Adler Arena, earning a 3-0 victory over York College of Pennsylvania after falling 3-1 to host Penn State Altoona.
How It Went Down
- Susquehanna opened the day with host Penn State Altoona, taking the opening set 25-23. The Lions responded by winning the next three sets, 25-13, 25-19 and 25-19, to take the match 3-1.
- Isabella Sallie led the River Hawks with 10 kills, while Natalia Baca added nine kills and six total blocks. Camille Ince recorded six kills, and Addison Dodge and Sami Kline each finished with three blocks. Lauren Halsey led the team in assists with 21, while Abby Madigan posted 11 digs.
- The River Hawks responded with a dominant performance against York, sweeping the Spartans by set scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-20. The River Hawks hit .316 as a team and finished with 43 kills compared to 32 for York.
- Baca led the offensive attack with 13 kills while hitting .500, while Sallie added 12 kills and a team-best 10 digs. Dodge contributed seven kills and three blocks, and Halsey directed the offense with 21 assists. Madigan also recorded 10 digs.
