Sophomore Erin McQuillen led the team averaging 14.3 points, recording 22 rebounds, and five steals as the Susquehanna Women’s Basketball team went 2-1 during this week’s matchups.
In the season opener vs. Wilkes, McQuillen was the River Hawks leading scorer, adding 15 points in 17 minutes, also contributing seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in the 76-66 win in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
During the opening game for the River Hawks in the Susquehanna Trailways Tip-Off Tournament, she recorded 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, and one steal in the resounding 77-44 victory over Penn College Saturday night at O.W. Houts gymnasium in Selinsgrove.
In the Tip-Off Final, McQuillen led the River Hawks scoring 18 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in the close loss against Nazareth.
McQuillen looks to continue to build on her strong start to the season as the team travels to Williamsport, Pa on Sunday to face the Warriors of Lycoming College.
For her efforts, Erin McQuillen has been named as the Susquehanna Women’s Athlete of the Week.
