Freshman Eric Towse led the Men’s Swimming and Diving team to a second place finish at the Landmark Conference Championships this weekend.
Towse set a school record and earned a gold metal in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.58.
He also earned a gold metal in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:52.33.
Towse was a contributor in the 200 medley relay that won the gold with a time of 1:34.45.
Because of his performance during the season and at the championships meet, Towse was named the Landmark Rookie of the Year, becoming only the second ever Susquehanna male swimmer to earn the award.
Towse has earned the River Hawk of the week for his efforts.
