Freshman Quarterback Michael Ruisch led the Susquehanna University Football Team to a 37-35 victory over No. 18 Johns Hopkins Saturday afternoon, throwing for 270 yards and adding a touchdown pass without having a turnover.

Highlighted by a 51-yard touchdown pass to Junior wide receiver Mikah Christian, Ruisch guided the River Hawks to their first home victory over Johns Hopkins since 1977. Of his 18 completions, six of them were for 15 yards or more.

Susquehanna has now earned national attention, receiving 50 votes in the latest national poll and looks to build on their hot start Saturday at 1 P.M. when they take on Muhlenberg at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field.
