Box Score Freshman Ashlynn Searer remains undefeated as she won her No. 1 singles match and teamed up with Haley White for the No. 2 doubles victory while White and Isabella Ferrari posted singles wins as well for the Susquehanna University Women's Tennis team in a narrow 5-4 defeat against Alvernia University Saturday afternoon.

Searer was able to edge out her opponent 7-5, 7-5 in her singles match while she helped White in an 8-2 win in doubles play. White won her singles match, 6-0, 6-0 while Ferrari edged out her opponent 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.

While the River Hawks (2-1) split its singles matches, the end result was determined in doubles play, as it was defeated in two of the three matches and ultimately lost 5-4.

Susquehanna returns to action Saturday when they take on Penn State Harrisburg at 1 p.m. in Middletown.
