SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna University Interim Director of Athletics Jim Findlay has announced Sarah Flick as the Interim Men's and Women's Tennis Head Coach for the fall 2026 season. Flick has served as a coach at Susquehanna since 2024 as the university's assistant women's lacrosse coach and has held head coaching roles at other NCAA Division III institutions. Her experience leading student-athletes and fostering a positive culture will benefit the Susquehanna tennis program.
Flick attended Lycoming College, where she was a member of the women's lacrosse program and four-year starter. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lycoming in 2014, she returned to New City, N.Y., where she became the varsity girls' lacrosse coach at Hastings High School before moving to Clarkstown South in 2017, where she served as the head coach for the nest three seasons. She also coached with the Clarkstown Lightning club program and Dip N Dunk Lacrosse.
In 2018, while finishing a Master of Social Work from New York University, she joined the Spanish National Team, where she served as captain of the team at the European Lacrosse Championships, helping the team to a 4-3 record. Since joining the team, Quigley has scored 19 goals in the team's 12 games, leading the squad. Flick entered the college coaching ranks at her alma mater Lycoming as the head women's lacrosse coach entering the 2020 season. While those first two years were impacted by COVID-19, Flick helped the Warriors make two appearances in the postseason and coached nine all-conference picks, two conference rookies of the year and helped the team to back-to-back .500 or better seasons for the first time since 2017. Their best season was in 2022 where the Warriors finished 10-9 overall and reached the semifinals of the MAC Freedom Championship, defeating DeSales in a conference tournament first round game. The Warriors featured four all-conference players, including the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year. The program finished 9-9 in 2023 and reached the MAC Freedom Semifinals again, while boasting the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year as well.
The River Hawks open their season on Wednesday, Sept. 16 when the men's team travels to face Landmark-foe Lycoming at 4 p.m. The women make their debut on Sept. 19 as they and the men travel once more to Lebanon Valley for a 1 p.m. match before it's the women's turn to take on Lycoming Wednesday, Sept. 23.
