Box Score Kathrina Demaio and Gabi Toohey scored two goals apiece as seven different River Hawks found the back of the net, but the Susquehanna University Women's Lacrosse team relinquished the final four goals of the game and dropped an 11-10 decision to Hood College Saturday afternoon in Frederick, Maryland.
 
How It Happened
 

• The Mustangs (5-1) started strong, scoring the first two goals of the contest. It took the River Hawks (1-3) nearly 12 minutes to get on the score sheet, as Brooke Klair cut Hood's lead in half at 2-1.
• Following another Mustang goal, Demaio scored her first goal and Helena Woytovich quickly followed with another score to tie the game at three. Hood would score twice more to take a 5-3 advantage, but a pair of goals by Toohey and Stephanie Dowling knotted things up at five at the break.
• Following another two goals by Hood, Susquehanna made a huge push to take the lead after scoring five straight.  Toohey got them going with her second goal of the contest, followed by scores from Christine Hoerman, Katie Hoerman, Kaitlin Homberg (free position) and Demaio.
• Trailing 10-7, the Blazers rattled off four straight goals late to win, with the final one coming at the 2:56 mark. The River Hawks had three shots in the final two minutes, but were unable to convert and dropped a tough one, 11-10.

 
Inside the Box Score
 

• It was an evenly distributed game for the River Hawks, as Demaio and Toohey led the way with two goals apiece, with Woytovich, Christine Hoerman, Katie Hoerman and Dowling all netting a goal.
• Christine Hoerman led the team with five draw controls and Dowling caused two turnovers. Hoerman also picked up five ground balls and Caroline Ray picked up three.
• Libby Dex made six saves in net.
• Laura Skorobatsch led the way for the Blazers with four goals.
