River Hawk Women’s Tennis Dominant in First Dual Match of 2019-20 Season

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's tennis team gained a 3-0 head start Wednesday afternoon as host Lycoming College forfeited No. 3 doubles as well as No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Susquehanna (1-0) rolled on and grabbed an 8-1 victory over the Warriors (1-2) as SU opened up 2019-20 dual match action.

Doubles
  • Sophomores Ashlynn Searer (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) and Haley White (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) posted an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles while senior Amy Jennings (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) and sophomore Anna Ream (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) earned an 8-2 triumph at No. 2 doubles.

Singles
  • Searer won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles while Ream dropped only two games in being victorious at No. 3 singles.
  • Jennings was also solid in her singles play, just giving up one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles.
