Box Score MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's tennis team's first match in 535 days came down to the second to last singles match on Tuesday afternoon. Susquehanna (0-1) sadly ended up on the short end of a 5-4 loss to host Penn State Harrisburg (1-0) as the match was decided by a three-set triumph by the Lions at No. 4 singles.

Doubles
- Penn State Harrisburg jumped out to a 2-1 lead after claiming an 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles and an 8-7 (3) win at No. 2 doubles.
- Junior Anna Ream (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) and sophomore Chelsea Kneedler (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) were the lone victorious River Hawks in doubles play, posting an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
Singles
- The host Lions stretched their advantage to 4-1 with straight wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.
- Ream pulled Susquehanna within two with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles.
- Junior Ashlynn Searer (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) continued the rally with a three-set battle at No. 1 singles, winning 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-1 to close the gap to 4-3.
- Sophomore Gabrielle Sabatose stopped the River Hawks' comeback cold, clinching the match victory for Penn State Harrisburg with a hard-fought 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 triumph over Kneedler at No. 4 singles.
- First-year Julie Bramley (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) recorded her first collegiate singles win with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.
